Uptime

No contractual uptime SLA is offered on any tier.The reason is structural rather than reluctant: Scienter is self-hosted. The thing whose availability you care about runs on your infrastructure, and a vendor cannot commit to the uptime of a service it does not operate.A vendor offering “99.9% uptime” on software you run yourself is describing something they cannot influence.

What actually determines your availability

The engine degrades rather than fails when a provider is unavailable: an absent source is recorded as a named gap in the evidence bundle, and the verifier refuses verdicts the surviving evidence cannot support. See Data states.

Support

“Priority support” means prioritised, not guaranteed. There is no on-call rotation and no follow-the-sun coverage. This is a small team, and a response-time commitment nobody can staff is a commitment that gets broken on the first weekend incident.If your organisation requires a 24/7 response commitment, that is not available today, and you should treat that as a gating fact rather than a negotiable one.

Security response

Vulnerability reports follow a different and faster path than support requests, with targets published on the responsible disclosure page. Those are targets for a small team, not contractual terms.

Deprecation

There is no formal deprecation policy or versioned API contract yet. The public endpoints are stable in practice and the OpenAPI specification tracks them, but no compatibility window is promised. If you are building something durable, pin to a commit and read the changelog before upgrading.

What you can rely on

Rather than ending on absences, the things that are structurally true:

The code cannot disappear

Open source and self-hosted. If the project stops, your deployment keeps running and the code stays forkable.

No vendor lock on your data

State is on your disk in readable formats. There is no export process to request because there is nothing to export from.
